Stop 1: LewisporteDetour
The town at the end of Route 341, a short turn off Route 340 near the start of the circle, and where the province's own Road to the Isles opens. A side trip, in and back out to Route 340.

280.8 km, all the way round. The province’s named drive leaves the Trans-Canada at Notre Dame Junction on Route 340: north to Boyd’s Cove, over the causeways onto New World Island, out to Twillingate and across to Moreton’s Harbour on Route 345. This circle comes home a different way, across Route 331 to Gander Bay and down Route 330 to Gander, instead of back down 340.
What you drive twice: the island roads past Boyd’s Cove. Twillingate and Moreton’s Harbour are both at the ends of roads, and no road joins them.
That is before any stops.
Flying into Gander? The Gander airport day loop is nearly this circle, started from the terminal: Lewisporte in it, Moreton’s Harbour left out.

How far is the Road to the Isles?＋
As a full circle from Notre Dame Junction: Route 340 north over the causeways to Twillingate, Route 345 out to Moreton's Harbour, then home across Route 331 to Gander Bay, Route 330 to Gander and the Trans-Canada back to the junction. 280.8 km of driving. Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism, which names the drive and starts it at Notre Dame Junction, gives about 311 km, taking in more of the branches off Route 340.
Is this the whole Kittiwake Coast?＋
No. The province names four Kittiwake Coast drives, and this is one. The others are the Road to the Shore, the Road to the Beaches and the Islands Experience, each covering a different part of the same coast.
How does this relate to the airport routes on this site?＋
The circle runs through Gander itself, so from Gander Airport you can join it there and go either way round. Gander to Twillingate and Deer Lake to Lewisporte both use parts of Route 340, and the Lewisporte to Boyd's Cove corridor is a leg of this circle measured on its own.
