Not confirmed

No park, town or trail guide we could find says whether this is a loop, an out and back or a point to point, so we don't guess. On the map its two ends are 1.53 km apart.

Getting to the trailhead — Gander (YQX) to the start of the Edgar Baird Lakeside Trail: 8.4 km by road.Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors. Tiles by OpenFreeMap. Route line computed with OSRM.

A trail for your first afternoon: 8.4 km from collecting your bags to a mapped 2.1 km path on the slope above Gander Lake. It is named for the forester whose family name runs deep in this town. The 96 m of ascent rolls rather than climbs, as the profile above shows. Most visitors pass the lake on the highway without stopping.

OpenStreetMap holds far more named trails than relations, and the sweep that found this one found others waiting. Every trail here is measured from the open map, cited way by way, and downloadable as a plain GPX with no account needed.
